On March 10, 2019, flight ET 302, operated by a Boeing 737 Max, crashed in Ethiopia killing 157 people, including 10 French victims.
The association of victims’ families announces its creation under the name of
“ASSOCIATION VOL ET 302 – SOLIDARITÉ ET JUSTICE”,
while the repatriation of their loved ones to France is imminent.
Chaired by Virginie Fricaudet, who lost her brother on the plane, the aim of this association is to create a chain of mutual aid and solidarity between families in their search for the truth about the causes of the tragedy and in the determination of responsibilities. The actions it will carry out will also contribute to repairing the damage suffered by the families and to defending and remembering those who lost their lives in this tragedy.
Coming from 35 different nationalities, the passengers on this flight were citizens and defenders of our world. Their commitment and responsibility was to make it safer, greener and more caring. They were consumers of the sky that carried them from a United Nations conference at point A to an international summit at point B. They fell victim to economic decisions that led to the neglect of flight safety, at the cost of their lives.
The association pointing out the serious failures of Boeing and the American certification authority (FAA), will be the voice of the missing and will fight tirelessly, along with the other associations, to ensure that their deaths force those responsible to make our safety a top priority.
It currently has around 100 members and is launching its second membership campaign. Membership is possible online on the association’s website: https://www.association-et302.fr.
